Our expert team, led by director and lead massage therapist Kellie Schofield, is located in the vibrant community of Speers Point, Lake Macquarie. Kel's rich background in team leadership, strong focus on customer service, and steadfast devotion to the art of Remedial Massage Therapy, combined with her deep passion for human connection and an abiding curiosity about the human body, led her to create the ultimate space for rest & recovery in Recovery Rooms. Our incredible team of massage therapists will get to know you and will individualise each treatment to ensure you will feel refreshed and renewed every visit. Why did you become a Massage Therapist? I was lucky enough to stumble upon this career after my mum encouraged me. I would massage my mums hands, feet, legs, arms and her face whilst she was fighting cancer. Turns out I loved it!

Where can we find you on a Saturday afternoon? You'll find me either hanging out with my family, watching (or playing) netball, or hanging out at dog trials.

What motto do you live by? Be curious, not judgemental. Ted Lasso

Do you have any hidden talents?  I make a mean margarita, although I don’t think this is hidden. I can also juggle.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? Pasta, pasta and pasta

What is one thing you have learned that you wish you could go back and tell your younger self? Be yourself, take risks, follow your gut and create healthy boundaries.

Why did you become a Massage Therapist? My whole life I have been drawn to the world of health & the human body. As a Remedial Massage Therapist you can really connect with & help others, shining light on the power of the body.

Where can we find you on a Saturday afternoon? Time with Rob & our puppo Ocky. You'll probably find us on a bush walk or chasing the sun, OR chasing Ocky because he's mischievous like that!

What motto do you live by? My personal motto is to always ask the question. My favourite quote, Fortune Favours the Brave!

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? Easy. Potatoes.

What is one thing you have learned that you wish you could go back and tell your younger self? I would tell her to take risks, that no matter what path life takes - you are exactly where you are meant to be.

Why did you become a Massage Therapist? I have always been interested in anatomy. I started having massages when I was about 14 years old. It’s rewarding when you can help reduce someone’s pain.

Do you have any hidden talents? I used to play the flute

Why did you become a massage therapist? I love helping people and believe in the benefits of having a holistic approach to health. After experiencing how amazing massage can be for the mind and body I knew this was something I needed to dive in and learn all about.

Where can we find you on a Saturday afternoon? Either having a swim in the lake or relaxing with my hubby and dog Angie on our deck, cheeky gin in hand.

What Motto do you live by? I have two. Life is short, burn the good candle.” “Nothing changes if nothing changes.”

Do you have any hidden talents?  Rapping all the lyrics to Shoop.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? It’s a toss-up between tacos and double coat tim-tams - don’t make me choose!

What is one thing you have learned that you wish you could go back and tell your younger self? It’s okay to pivot. Write your own rules and design your own idea of success.
