Remedial Massage Treatments

At RR, Remedial Massage treatments are provided using an integrated treatment approach utilising dry needling, MyoFascial cupping IASTM to assist muscoskeletal health and recovery. Many of our clientele have found profound benefit and relief in regular maintenance treatments.

To get the most out of your time on the massage table, we recommend 60 or 90 minute treatments. 30’ and 120’ are also available.

Post massage you could feel a combination or rejuvenation and soreness. It is completely normal to feel sore or tender through areas of the body post Remedial Massage. This is because we, as your therapists have worked on your soft tissue to break through adhesions, knots and tension, introducing nutrient dense blood to the tissues which facilitates healing. This soreness subsides within a 24-48 hours.

Infrared Sauna

The Infrared Sauna is a versatile tool for increased circulation and recovery, allowing you to customize the sauna temperature and duration for a sweat session that suits your needs. You can choose to use it alone or share the experience with someone else.
Our Far Infrared Sauna uses special heaters to provide gentle warmth at the bodies cellular level. Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air around you, this sauna experience is unique and comfortable, and can aid in relaxation, increased circulation, and muscle recovery.

By safely raising the body's core temperature, our Far Infrared Sauna enhances circulation, boosts the immune system, and offers relief from sore muscles and joint discomfort.

We offer a set up to play your favourite tunes, watch Netflix or use this time as a moment of quiet away from our busy world.

Less is best in the sauna, but sweat in whatever feels the most comfortable.

We provide fresh filtered drinking water and a wash basin ready for that post-sweat wash, plus towels. Just bring comfy clothes to go home in and a water bottle to stay hydrated post sauna.

We recommend drinking plenty of water pre, during and post sauna session. A light meal prior to your session is encouraged but nothing heavy or directly before your session.

If you experience or are currently experiencing any of the following, Infrared Sauna use is not for you:
Uncontrolled Asthma or other breathing conditions
Heart disease
Pregnancy
Epilepsy
High or Low Blood Pressure that is not monitored or controlled
People under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Medical clearance is needed in the following circumstances:
Heart conditions including Heart Disease, High BP and Low BP
Nerve and motor function conditions
Unhealed wounds
Pregnancy considerations
Kidney disease
Use of medications that cause dizziness

Float Therapy

It involves lying in a float tank solution of 35% Epsom salt/magnesium which allows you to float effortlessly. The water is heated to skin temperature of approximately 34.5 degrees Celsius.

Float therapy is beneficial for:
Improved sleep quality
Recovery from fatigue - great for poor sleepers, new parents, shift workers, athletes, gym enthusiasts
Decreases chronic fatigue
Decreases stress and anxiety
Pain relief and reduced inflammation - Epsom Salts are high in magnesium, which acts as an anti-inflammatory, reducing pain symptoms.
Boosts creativity and mindfulness

Ensuring that you feel comfortable and safe is number one, so we can take it slow.. Floating is about finding your float style and what works for you. If you're not sure you'll be able to close the Float Tank lid, thats ok, we start with the lid open, and tank lights on. We encourage you to chat to us about any concerns you have.

You can choose music, silence or a combination of both. Music tracks are provided by us.

Do not shave prior to floating, the large quanity of salt will string freshly shaved skin
Hair must not be dyed within the week prior
Do not wear contact lenses
Avoid caffeine, stimulants, drugs and alcohol before float
Liquid bandages can be used for any grazes & cuts
Eat in moderation before float to avoid taking away from your relaxation
If you are menstruating at the time of your float please use a tampon or menstrual cup during your float with us

We recommend you bring your normal post-shower essentials, a hair brush and comfortable clothes to travel home in. We will always welcome you to join us in our space to enjoy a tea afterwards.
The essentials including towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are supplied by us.

You do not need to wear swimmers, in fact, we encourage you to float naked. If you feel more comfortable wearing them, by all means bring them with you, however wearing them can take away from the experience by causing sensory input. Keep in mind you will be in complete privacy.

Caffeine, alcohol or other stimulants for several hours leading up to your float
Using hair dye within a week of your session
Shaving within 12 hours of your appointment
Spray tan within 6 days of your appointment

No, we don’t change the water after each client. The water is filtered for 20 - 30 minutes between floaters allowing for for a thorough clean. The solution is tested (and treatment when needed) daily and between clients to ensure it remains at a high quality.

Epilepsy
Extreme low blood pressure
Contagious disease or Infectious skin conditions, including infected wounds / skin opening
Diarrhoea or Gastroenteritis (Anyone with these sorts of symptoms should not float whilst symptoms persist & for up to 14 days after).
Large open wounds
Medical Clearance is required in the following circumstances:
Heart condition
Asthma
Allergies to salts, bromine, magnesium
Severe skin conditions (psoriasis, eczema)
Any Psychiatric conditions

Absolutely. We encourage you to wait until your second trimester, just to be on the safe side.
